The SöderS security grant is a new grant for 2025, and aims to provide financial support to affiliated student associations to increase security at events. The grant can be used to support security-related costs, such as hiring security guards, buying security equipment or training on security issues.
- Associations affiliated to SöderS can apply for the grant. The applicant association must have reported its activities in the last relevant period.
- The grant is intended for activities where there is an identified need for security measures.
- Priority areas are events that are expected to attract large numbers of visitors or that pose an increased risk of disorder or security incidents.
- The application must include a detailed description of the activity, a justification as to why security measures are needed, and a budget showing the planned security measures.
- Association bank account required to receive granted funds.
- Maximum grant per association: SEK 10,000 per semester.
- Decisions are taken by the SöderS Board at the next Board meeting if the application is submitted at least two weeks before that meeting.
- After the event, the association must submit a statement of the actual security costs, together with receipts and other relevant documentation.
Accounting
After the activity has been carried out, the association must submit a report containing an evaluation of the activity, the financial outcome and copies of receipts. This is done in a digital form on the SöderS website.
An association cannot be granted further funds from the security fund until the feedback has been made and approved by the board. In the event of non-existent or approved reporting, the association is liable to repay SöderS for the entire amount granted.
