SöderS’s security grant is a new grant for 2025, and aims to provide financial support to affiliated student associations organisations to improve security at events. The grant can be used to help cover costs related to security, such as hiring security guards, purchasing security equipment or providing training on security matters.
- Associations organisations affiliated with SöderS may apply for the grant. Any association organisation applying must have reported its operation figures for the most recent relevant period.
- The grant is intended for activities where there is an identified need for security measures.
- Priority areas are events that are expected to attract large numbers of visitors or that involve an elevated risk of public disorder or security incidents.
- The application must contain a detailed description of the activity, a justification for why security measures are needed, and a budget showing the planned security measures.
- An association bank account is required to receive the granted funds.
- Maximum grant per association: SEK 10,000 per term.
- The decision will be made by the SöderS board at the next board meeting if the application is submitted at least two weeks before it.
- Once the event has taken place, föreningen must submit a statement of the actual security costs, together with receipts and other relevant documentation.
Accounting
Once the activity has been completed, föreningen must submit a report containing an evaluation of the activity, the financial outcome and copies of receipts. This is done using a digital form on the SöderS website.
A association cannot be granted further funds from the security fund until a final report has been submitted and approved by the board. If no final report is submitted or if the report is not approved, the association is obliged to repay the full amount granted to SöderS.
