Student Rights Report 2025

As a student union, our primary mission is to monitor and participate in the development of education and the conditions for studying at the university.

We do this, amongst other things, through our student rights organisation operation.

Students can contact the student union with questions and guidance regarding everything related to their education and time as a student. Problems with examinations, conflicts with teachers and experiences of deficiencies in the work and study environment are common reasons why students contact us. You can read more about the student and doctoral student ombudsmen under Student rights.

In the Student Rights Report, we set out the student rights cases received and dealt with during the previous academic year. All cases have been anonymised, and we are unable to answer questions regarding individual cases linked to the content of the report.

During the period 1 July–30 June, we handled 91 cases. The report presents the cases based on departmental affiliation and the category/nature of the problems. Based on this year's cases, we provide recommendations to Södertörn University regarding the assessment of study performance, the handling of discrimination, and preparedness for changes within education and the organisation.
