SöderS is releasing a new report on the students' working environment at Södertörn University.
SöderS is the student union at Södertörn University. SöderS works continuously to protect the students' interests and pursue issues with the aim of improving the study situation at the university.
As part of this work, SöderS conducted a questionnaire survey regarding the students' working environment during the spring of 2023. The survey investigates selected study-related aspects and the availability of various resources, as well as how these different factors affect the students' working environment and well-being during their time of study.
The student working environment consists of the physical and psychosocial conditions that affect how students feel and function in their study situation. The working environment can influence everything from wellbeing, study motivation and performance to students' physical and mental health. A good working environment is therefore crucial in providing students with favourable conditions to successfully complete their studies and to maintain their wellbeing throughout their time as students. By investigating the students' working environment, SöderS and the university can gain a broader understanding of the students' working environment and how various aspects affect their wellbeing.
This report is a compilation of the results from the questionnaire survey on students' working environment at Södertörn University, which was carried out by SöderS in the spring of 2023. The results presented in this report are not representative of the entire student population at Södertörn University, but can only give an indication of any strengths and weaknesses in the students' working environment that exist and that should be investigated further.
