Is your association organizing an activity? We got your back!
Student social life is a central part of the association's commitment. You want to help make your members' student life richer and create activities that provide opportunities for socializing and celebration, contribute exciting knowledge and perhaps proximity to the labor market.
The SöderS office can also provide support and tips on what to consider when planning an event. The following are good starting points:
- What is the purpose of the event and who is the target audience?
- Create a clear division of responsibilities in tasks before and during the event
- Develop a timetable for when different parts of the planning should be completed
- Think about how you will communicate and promote the event
- Book the desired venue well in advance (if you book the pub: book a meeting with the event manager and the functionary manager to go through the important bits)
- Do something you would like to do yourself!
Planning and event support
SöderS has developed concrete guidelines to be applied when planning and organizing events. These guidelines exist to ensure that events held on SöderS premises or in the name of SöderS are inclusive and safe.
Book premises
SöderS offers all its member associations the opportunity to book the union's various premises and premises at the university free of charge (08:00-18:00). Bookings are made via the SöderS website.
Booking rules are also stated there, but it may be useful to know that alcohol may not be served or consumed in any premises other than the pub.
Meetings and templates
As an association, you are seen in both formal and informal forms. Think about what they are used for today and what you could do to effectively distribute decision-making processes.
Formal meetings
Annual meeting
The annual general meeting is the meeting of the members and has the most power and influence over an association. Among other things, the AGM decides on the association's activities and who will run the association in the coming year.
Board meeting
The Executive Committee is the body responsible for running an association between annual meetings. During the year, the board can, for example, decide on different projects and appoint project groups and prepare proposals to the members for the annual meeting.
Informal meetings
SöderS offers all its member associations the opportunity to book the union's various premises and premises at the university free of charge (08:00-18:00). Bookings are made via the SöderS website.
Booking rules are also stated there, but it may be useful to know that alcohol may not be served or consumed in any premises other than the pub.

Eventoteket
An event library for SöderS student associations and activities!
Eventoteket exists to make event material available free of charge to SöderS associations and businesses By doing so, we reduce the use of resources while easing the associations' wallets and making it easier for more people to organize events. To borrow, your association needs to have approved the terms for Eventoteket.
This is how simple Eventoteket works:
1. Read the terms and conditions and fill in a loan form
2. Pack what you want to borrow in a Loan Box
3. Hold your event and then return!
