After almost 5 years in the role of Secretary General, Malin Helldorff is leaving SöderS and handing over the baton to someone else.

 - It feels right both for me and for SöderS. At the same time as it feels sad and a little sad to leave this fantastic organization, all students and incredible employees, says Malin. 

Malin will be working until mid-December, and an advertisement will be placed shortly to recruit a new person for the role.

- It will be exciting to recruit a new Secretary-General, although it is sad that Malin is leaving. She has done a fantastic job during these years and she will be missed. At the same time, I have great confidence in the recruitment process that we have just started.

The Secretary-General of SöderS is the Secretary of the Board and the link between the strategic Board and the operational staff of the Secretariat. The Secretary-General, in collaboration with the President, is the operational unit of the Board. He/she is responsible for the management of the SöderS staff, for the financial administration and for the SöderS' organisational units.

- It is and has been an incredibly varied job, with a range between very operational practical work to the strategic, long-term. That's one of the things that makes the job so much fun," Malin adds.


"What tips do you have for the person who comes after you?"
- Don't forget that the target group is right next door. So if you get stuck in a thought, just go out ten meters and ask the students who happen to be sitting there at the time, and you will get wise answers!
