SöderS releases new report on the student work environment at Södertörn University.
SöderS is Södertörn University's student union. SöderS works continuously to monitor students' interests and pursue issues aimed at improving the study situation at the university.
As part of this work, SöderS conducted a survey on the students' work environment in the spring of 2023. The survey examines selected study-related aspects and the availability of various resources, as well as how these various factors affect the students' work environment and well-being during their studies.
Students' work environment consists of the physical and psychosocial conditions that are important for how they feel and function in their study situation. The work environment can affect everything from well-being, study motivation and performance to students' physical and mental health. A good working environment is thus crucial to provide students with good conditions for coping with their studies and for them to feel good during their studies. By studying students' work environment, SöderS and the university can gain a broader understanding of students' work environment and how different aspects affect their wellbeing.
This report is a summary of the results of the survey of students' work environment at Södertörn University that SöderS conducted in spring 2023. The results presented in this report are not representative of the entire student population at Södertörn University, but can only give an indication of any strengths and weaknesses in students' work environment that should be investigated further.
