...and welcome back to S\u00f6derS!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those of you who have followed S\u00f6derS over the past verksamhet academic year will probably recognise Matilda Good, former verksamhet developer and now S\u00f6derS\u2019s new General Secretary! S\u00f6derS is absolutely delighted and excited to have Matilda back at the secretariat. As well as having previous experience of our student union, she is also a former chair of the Ume\u00e5 Student Union and has held positions of trust within SFS (Swedish National Union of Students). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201dIt feels great to be back and to step into the role of Secretary General this time!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Matilda completed her final day as a verksamhet developer at S\u00f6derS this summer, and has since been studying the history of ideas and European Union studies at Stockholm University. In addition, Matilda previously studied for a Bachelor\u2019s degree in political science at Ume\u00e5 University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201dWhat have you missed the most about S\u00f6derS?\u201d<\/h4><\/div>

What I have missed the most is meeting students and colleagues. Being close to the commitment, hearing new ideas and following students' journeys is something quite special. I have also missed that there is always something fun happening, which means it is never dull at work.<\/p><\/div><\/div>

\u201dWhat are you most looking forward to in the role of new Secretary-General?\u201d<\/h4><\/div>

I really look forward to taking part in realising the board's and members' visions for S\u00f6derS. Together, there are many of us who are passionate about creating a vibrant campus, working for high-quality education for all students and strengthening the student movement that means so much to many. Being able to contribute to that work feels inspiring!<\/p><\/div><\/div>

\u201dIf you had to describe S\u00f6derS in one word?\u201d<\/h4><\/div>

The Secretary-General acts as the Board\u2019s secretary and as the link between the strategic Board and the Secretariat\u2019s operational staff, and, in collaboration with the Chair, forms the Board\u2019s operational unit. The role involves being responsible for the organisation\u2019s day-to-day financial management, monitoring the student union\u2019s operation, and providing administrative support to our associations as well as operational support to S\u00f6derS\u2019s operation representatives. In other words, Matilda will be something of a linchpin within the student union.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
