Because doctoral students are not registered as full-time students, the student union must register them manually. Since you are registered in Ladok and Mecenat on a per-semester basis, you must resubmit a certificate at the start of each new semester if you wish to continue holding a Mecenat card. There are two ways of renewing your student card:\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list has-small-font-size\">\n<li><strong>Through S\u00f6derS:<\/strong> At the bottom of the doctoral support page, you can now fill out a form and upload your employment certificate or other document that validates your study activity. S\u00f6derS will then register your study activity so you get the Mecenat card. The processing time is 1\u20133 business days.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Through Mecenat:<\/strong> You need to download a certificate of registration through your Ladok and submit it through the Mecenat customer service. Participating in the GA implies being part of the democratic process to decide who represents you.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<br><br>You do not need to know how an annual meeting works to attend. There will be people on site to make sure that all the formalities are done correctly. The chairperson of the meeting will also explain the different items so that everyone knows what is going on. You don\u2019t need to prepare in advance nor have previous experience with general assemblies. Simply sit in and listen to what has been done, the suggestions for what can be done, and vote on the student representatives you are interested in.\u00a0\u00a0<br><br>All members of the association are welcome to attend. 0.2rem) * 1.25), 2rem);font-style:normal;font-weight:300;line-height:1.1\">About the Doctoral Council<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The Doctoral Council (DC) is an association under S\u00f6dert\u00f6rn University\u2019s student union (S\u00f6derS)<\/strong>, whose role is to represent doctoral students and their interests regarding their employment and education at S\u00f6dert\u00f6rn University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Swedish law states that students have the right to participate in decision-making processes that affect their education.
