Budget<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\u00c5rsm\u00f6tet decides, within a budget, how f\u00f6reningens should spend their money, and it is then up to the board to implement these decisions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The treasurer has overall responsibility for ensuring that the board manages f\u00f6rening\u2019s finances and spends f\u00f6rening\u2019s money on matters that are in the members\u2019 interests. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The auditors elected at the the annual meeting meeting shall ensure that the board carries out its duties in accordance with the members\u2019 decisions and interests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Financial accounting<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To the annual meeting, you must report to the members on how f\u00f6reningen has used its financial resources. This may be referred to as a financial report, an annual report or financial statements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The financial accounts, together with the annual report for the year, shall form the basis for the decision on discharge from liability for the outgoing board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Declaration<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

All operations entities registered with the Swedish Tax Agency must submit a tax return once a year. Find out more on the Swedish Tax Agency\u2019s website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a general rule, all student associations entities are public-benefit organisations, and special rules apply in such cases. In particular, several different types of income that a f\u00f6reningen may receive may be tax-exempt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Therefore, it is possible to apply for exemption from submitting a \u201dspecial return\u201d. If the Swedish Tax Agency approves the application, no tax return will need to be filed for five years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
